I've only been a reader of this group since July and am a passionate Savage rider. It seems as though the contributers to this group must go into hibernation as the cold months come upon us. Granted, I would find other intrests if it was frozen outside for months at a time.
Most of the technical issues on the Savage have been covered in previous posts but we could still enjoy a human intrest didy now and then. Does anyone have a fun or exciting experience to write about?
My wife has been riding with me every weekend since we bought the the little Suki. Three weeks ago I almost had a stroke! She is sitting on it while I am taking her picture against I nice background. Then she says, how about starting it up and let me ride it!!!
I say to her, do you know where the clutch is? No.
Do you know where the brake is? No. Well, don't you think it would be a good idea to find out before you try to ride? Well, show me she says, so I do and away she goes. Yike! That's my little darlin she is riding down this country road. Well, she managed to turn it around without crashing it and rode by me several times. Now every time we go out for our weekend 100 mile ride she has her turn for 15 minutes or so. I see another bike in our future.
I went out for an hour yesterday and got chilled to the bone, it was 65 degrees. I am a wuss in my old age.
I lived and rode in Germany for two years summer and winter 40 years ago but I can't handle the cold anymore.
Any other riders in central Florida?
